The Society prides itself in its investment in innovative technology solutions and this is an exciting time to join our award winning, dynamic IT Department which develops and supports systems, not just for the Society but for Blue Chip UK and international clients. Reporting directly to the Product Line Manager (CRM Systems), the successful candidate will join an existing team working on a Prepaid Cards Reconciliation System to support our Card Solutions business and Finance function.

You must possess a good understanding of the OO and SOA concepts and will have had some exposure to developing enterprise n-tier client server systems using C#.Net

The key responsibilities of this role will be to manage relationships with internal Finance and Card Solutions departments and third parties to achieve the required outcome by undertaking analysis work (including system documentation), designing and developing new system features and providing system support.

The role will require you to have a strong team focus and good communication skills along with significant experience of C# .Net Development background preferably at a senior level and minimum of .Net 2 framework. Ideally you will also possess experience in WCF Services development (or ASP.Net Web Services), Client Development (preferably Win forms) and of XML/XSD/XSLT.

In addition the successful candidate is expected to have significant SQL Server experience and a good OO knowledge / appreciation of Design Patterns.

Knowledge of Card Payment Platforms and Team Foundation 2008 development along with Build Configuration / Release Management experience and Test Driven development methods are highly desirable, as is experience of mentoring and coaching staff.
