Once you have chosen the account you wish to open, we’ve tried to make it as straightforward as possible to apply.

Check on the account details how the accounts can be opened but the options we offer are:

Online application – not available for all accounts

Just follow the simple instructions on screen. However, before you start, please make sure you have to hand the sort code and account number of the bank/building society account you wish to nominate to allow you to manage this account.

At your local branch

To find your nearest branch, visit our branch finder.

To open an account at a branch, simply take along your investment and proof of your identity and your address. You can print off and complete our PDF application form or complete a form in branch.

Wherever possible, we try to prove your identity via an electronic authorisation system but sometimes – if you have recently moved home, for example – we may not be able to make a match. In these cases we may require further original documentation.

Simply call 0845 600 4368 (8am - 6pm Monday to Friday) and one of our friendly staff will guide you through the process.

By post

Simply print off the PDF application form and return it to us with a cheque for your investment plus the appropriate proofs of identity and address (which we will return) to:
