Talent Management

Our Talent Management programme enhances and develops the skills of future leaders in our business, something that we are committed to doing across the Society.

Talent Placements

Our Talent Management programme develops the skills of future leaders in Newcastle Building Society.  We progress successful applicants through a Leadership Programme to deepen their understanding of leadership styles and encourage personal transformation and development. 

Management Placements

In addition to completing the talent programme, some of the applicants were given the opportunity to gain exposure to a number of key business areas through a series of rotational placements as a Management Placement lasting 18 months.

Skills Movement Programme

As part of our dedication to managing talent within Newcastle Building Society, the Skills Movement Programme enables staff to spend time in other roles within the organisation, usually for a period of 3 months. It is designed to:

  • Develop staff competencies and skill sets to support career development
  • Strengthen working relationships and improve communication across the business
  • Share best practice between different business areas
  • Increase confidence and knowledge of participants
