Head of Reporting Operations

Andrew joined the Society as part of a business studies degree course at Sunderland University in 1998. During his placement year Andrew gained exposure to all areas of the Finance function notably Operations, Reporting, and Treasury. Having finished his degree course in July 2000 Andrew rejoined the Society on a permanent basis as Operations Officer.

In 2002, as part of departmental restructure, Andrew transferred to the Financial Reporting team where his main duties included administration of purchase and sales ledger system, preparation of cash books, and accounting for tenanted property portfolios.

Over the next 12 years Andrew was promoted up through the Finance function, and in 2014 became the Head of Reporting Operations, becoming a key contributor to high level business projects, producing financial information for Executive team/Board, and mentoring next generation of Finance managers/staff through theoretical and practical training and support.

Why did you choose this particular career path?
