About the building
NUCASTLE powered by Newcastle Building Society is a state-of-the-art hub for sports, education and wellbeing, with football at the heart of both the building and its programme of activities. The community hub supports the Foundation's ongoing outreach programme, including NU Futures, which supports disadvantaged young people from across the North of Tyne area to engage with education, skills and careers activities.
Open seven days a week, NUCASTLE powered by Newcastle Building Society combines community space with education and wellness facilities, including activity and state-of-the-art cycling studios, specialist STEM room, esports room, four-court sports hall, accessible changing areas, event and meeting spaces, offices and more.
More than 160 Foundation staff use the facility as their workplace, helping to deliver the charity’s award-winning education, community, and health and wellbeing programmes, as well as more than 160 dance, cycle, fitness, and wellbeing classes every month hire of the stunning rooftop 4G football pitch.

The Foundation's new home is home to digital learning suites and specialist classrooms, events and meeting spaces and sports facilities including a 4G rooftop pitch, just a short distance from St James' Park.

Just a goal-kick away from St James’ Park, NUCASTLE powered by Newcastle Building Society is located on the former Murray House Recreational Centre site in the West End of Newcastle.
